Lots of varied shots in this magazine. My father must have gotten a new piece of camera gear because the first images are of Wood Ave. outside of the camera store, Daily Photo. There was a day of canoeing in Cranford as well as the random trip to the ‘country’ by our cousins from New York.
- The ‘big shed’ at FarberBrothers viewed from the rear.
- Hank, Melissa, and me in someone’s MGB. Note the fins on the Plymouth in the driveway.
- Meg enjoying running bases, that is her brother Andy in the background. There’s that Fairlane again.
- Bar Mitzvah guests at Jahn’s waiting for their ice cream.
To top it off, not only did Hank’s Bar Mitzvah rate two events at the house, he and his friends went on a skating junket. There was a chartered bus to take them to South Mountain Arena for skating followed by a trip for ice cream to the home of the ‘kitchen sink’, Jahn’s ice cream parlor in Union. There is a story in the family of Hank getting sick when ordering an ice cream soda for two with our Dad and Hank was worried Dad would drink it all so he preempted that outcome in the only way possible by drinking it first.
